I've been paddling since 93.  Was on the river about 4 times a week for the first 8 to 10 years.  Taught kayaking starting in 95 and have been even since; only now alot less due to kids in the picture.  I've always loved playboating!  I competed in rodeo's for a while.  I got first place in advanced women's in my first rodeo and stayed in the top four in the other rodeo's while competing back in the southeast.  It's a bummer to get first and then not get it again.  Oh well.  I also love paddling class IV and making class III's as hard as I can.  Used to paddle some class V but I didn't like feeling so nervous all of the time so I quite doing the V's.  It just wasn't for me.  I do however love technical, low volume, drop/pool, creeking.  Moved from Georgia to Washington in the beginning of 2001 to continue work in the paddling industry.  In the past 3 years I've had two kids so boating had to take a back seat.  I'm not out there as much as I used to be and unfortunatley some of my skills are suffering.  Boo hoo!  But I still enjoy it the same non the less.  Also enjoy snowboarding about as much as I do kayaking.  Backpacking is right up there too and is my way of relaxing as well as sea kayaking.
