This is the Weekend paddle on the lower green gorge discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the Weekend paddle on the lower green gorge | Trip Page

Anyone up for a run down the lower green river gorge this weekend. Either Saturday or Sunday works and I am flexible as to when we meet, either early (say 10AM at takeout, or even earlier) or later in the day (say 2PM at the takeout) Let me know either on this thread or via PM Kiran

I would be interested in this but never run it before...just moved to area.  how is it in a small playboat? i noticed levels are pretty low but looks fun, hopefully not too challenging. otherwise id be interested in snoq MF as a 'warm-up' i'm solid III but barely paddled all spring, thanks

The run is a Class III play run. Most people run it in a play boat. However, I mostly paddle a larger boat. There is no rapid as "hard" as the House rock rapid on the Middle middle. I would say that the middle middle at 2000+ is harder than the lower green at 1300cfs. Just my two cents

since I have no takers on this "easy" class III run and since I am in no mood to bike this shuttle solo, I guess I too will bale

Thank god I am off to Ottawa in 2 weeks for a week of warm, big water paddling with shuttle all set up :-)

Me... me me me... :) I was planning on going on Sunday. I've ran it twice recently. I'm horrible at remembering placements etc. but... if you know it well we can do it. Otherwise, I'd be winging it. There is also another group that's planning on going and working on rescue skills. I'm new to it (the list) and I'm not sure I have a carte blanc invite privileges. (carte blanc isn't in spellcheck) anyway, If you still want to go give me a jingle. Besides, if we boat together you can tell oscar i actually do exist.
why not!
