Having spent some time in the NE and heard tales of local micros, I thought that something similar might be possible near Seattle, and actually scouted the East Fork of Issaquah Creek (paralells 90 from Highpoint Way down to Issaquah) for just such an occasion, since it looked like it was about a mile long and has some gradient.
Put in at high-point, take out behind an office complex in Issaquah and wave to Lumbergh at the Initech HQ at the takeout.
Actually looked like it could be a fun little diversionary run when everything is blown out, but alas - the wood situation was not good.
I think the same would be true of lots of Micros in NE - but there's a crew of beaver-folk that tend to the runs out there in a way that might be tougher to pull of in the NW - particularly with the legitimate concern for the effect on salmon habitiat, etc.
Fun to contemplate though. Anyone else contemplated any urban/suburban micros in the Puget Sound?
