nope...he's talking rainfall...

"Rain from this system should reach the lowlands around dinnertime tomorrow and move through over night. This will be followed by a break into Thursday when a much more potent and far wetter system will reach us. Take a look at the predicted 24-h rainfall ending Friday at 4 AM (black is 2.5-5 inches!)"

If a group head over to the Tummy, let me know.
I got a new camera body that shoots 9 fps and am itching to get some good shots.
By good shots, I mean ones of someone other than Leif!
Car pool for shuttle services!
Sure?

Hily crap! Did you pony up and buy the D3? That is one sweet Nikon camera body, but it cost like around $5,000? You are going to get some sweet shots with that!

It is not a D3 - That is in the savings account and I hope to have it by the ball. Gotta save!
I picked up a D2H - It is not high in MP's but has amazing color, and since I won't be blowing any up to 36" x 48" It will work well.
I will let you know when the D3 comes home.!
I may hold out a little longer on the body for some longer glass.

Is anyone heading over for just the day?

Sure?

Dave,
Since the D3s came out, you can get a D3 with low actuations in the 2800 - 3100 range.
The s series is pretty sick in the noise reduction in the high iso's. You should hear this machine gun go off! And the files are perfect.

We could put Tobin in a ducky and get action shots on elkhorn! I'm not super stoked about the hike, to be totally honest. Is there a lot of interest in the trip? I was kinda leaning towards a three day Tumwater adventure myself...

Nope.  I don't have Phil's number.  I was going to stop by for a visit last weekend, but it got late.

Besides, isn't Dan gopher boy?
