Browns Creek to Vance Creek (Gorge Run)
chipmaney 10/30/2012 7:26:00 PM jP
^ Notes: The landslide rapid is clearly class VI. It's at the very limits of navigability. Way scarier than say, Landslide (V+) on Robe. Most definitely NOT Class V. If you must, then V+. But it's definitely Class VI, as death looks more likely than success.

Opal Creek
Big Fluffy Run?
chipmaney 4/7/2012 5:51:00 PM James
^ Notes: This run is misnamed. The river is actually the Little North Fork Santiam, Gold Creek to Three Pools section, aka the Opal Creek Section. The gauge is usgs-14182500. I'll try to add some beta for this run, as it's a Northwest Classic.

Dosewallips
1. Dosewallips Falls to Elkhorn Campground
chipmaney 9/4/2011 2:26:00 PM James
^ Notes: The second paragrph of the run description states the rapids are "read and run" except for the issue of wood. This is patently untrue. The river is V-V+ and full of sieves and, for some people, portages. Every one of the 5-6 major rapids is a mandatory scout, and the upper section (upstream of where the dude who wrote the run description put-in) is full of blind corners that are also mandatory scouts. Consider revising the language in the run description.
Cascade
