I want a different playboat. Need to get rid of my oldschool ForPlay. Time for something more modern and playful. Anyone selling or know anyone selling?
I was disappointed with what I found thru craigslist and FSBO.

I have the Dagger Crazy 88 listed in FSBO.  You are more than welcome to try it out even if you just wanted to sample different boat shapes.  No pressure just because you tried it - I have a slight hoarding tendency when it comes to boats and was ambivalent about letting it go.  Its a 6.2 for sizing comparisons.

I also have a Dagger Agent 6.2 (mid-sized) that has seen very little use.  Would part with it for $550 or so. I have all the outfitting, and you are more than welcome to try it out as well.

And, I have a project 54 used maybe 10 times and is in great shape. 600.00ish would do.

Anyone have a River/Play Boat? Not just a freestyle?

I am not super experienced, but I would suspect that the difference between your Wavesport and a river\play boat may not be that substantial.  I have the playboat, but just got a Jackson Fun and like it because I have all but given up trying to be a playboater and just like to front surf and try an occasional cartwheel.  But if I was gung-ho (or hell, even slightly motivated), I'd have just stuck with the two boat stable: playboat and runner\creeker.  You might be able to do some great tricks in a river\play, but even for a scrub like me its obvious its just easier in a playboat.

Not sure if that was very helpful though and you probably have more experience than me.  But just offering my 1-2 cents based on paddling both types of boats.

I have a Necky Chronic I'm selling. Older design but a great river runner/surfer/wheeler. Not so great as bouncing. Let me know if you want to check it out.

So after research and test driving multiple boats, I'm finally purchasing a new playboat. Test drove the 2010 Jackson All Star down the Sky and fell in love. I tested a few other boats first including Necky Orbit Fish, Wavesport Project 52, and 2010 Jackson Fun. Hands down the All Star was my favorite both paddling wise and comfort wise. The Project 52 was 2nd favorite paddling wise but I didn't fit well in it. Jackson Fun was great but Irene convinced me it wasn't right for the way I've been boating. It'd be too in between river run and play. I agree. Anyways. Thanks for the help all.

Adam is still selling his Orbit Fish (fun boat but too surfy-playful for me)
Chris is still selling his Project 52 (in excellent condition and a great boat!)
I just have to return these boats to them...

Anyways, when you SMOTR next, I shall be in my new All Star! Stoked!

The All Star is great. I have one and my dad traded in his Fun for one.
