From where to where?  I like the actual FITW but only run it once this year and hiked back up...  In the old days we would run the fall, double undercut... and rootball (with the rootball).

This year we have been running the first drop after the seal launch depending on level... (and yea a couple people have ended up in the slot).

I stopped running rootball too, I just don't like the look of it any more.  Maybe I'm getting old.

I'll never run little Frankies... cause I really don't wanna run Franklin!

times from previous years were seal launch above limbo to the little seam just below green room. I would have to do some digging to find times but they were fast. This year it would probably be from the pool right above the entrance to the Fearsome to the same seam below greenie.

Makes for a quick and fun rally. The best part is since it will be lower, everyone can come and have fun!

Based on what people actually seem to be running most often, I'd make it from the time the boat leaves the short in the pool above the Foursome to the time the Bow hits the rock at the take out that everyone seems to be using (just below the pullout that's midway between TGR and RB).

We were running Root Ball yesterday, ELF levels, and it was really fun and easy for the most part. The only issue is you better catch the eddie or you are going over the next drop, not looking fun. But JD did run it and he styled the last drop...

Unless we get some serious rain/heat... I'd say it's too late?

If you wanna come up Monday, I'd race you though Brian :P

My Y already has a good crack in it ... won't get any worse!

FITW timed laps from 2008 were from the pool beneath the seal launch to either the eddy below Green Room or the T.O. eddy. well under 4:00. 3:20ish if memory serves me correctly.
I actually didn't really get my FITWah on too much last year.

I'd say we may have seen the last of the good flows up there, but I'm not really watching that zone these days.

So from above the foursome to below the Green Room in ~3:20? Smokin.

If I get another crack at the creek I'd be happy with twice that.

South fork gauge is at 380 and dropping in the classic stair-step melt-freeze pattern. The forecast for the pass tomorrow afternoon is for 20-30% chance of showers and cloudy, with a high of around 60.

Given that the flow is coming almost exclusively from up-high, it seems like there's a chance that FITW will be in the low but runnable range. With all of the talk of a gathering last week, I thought I'd check and see if there's still any interest in one-last go-round up there tomorrow night before the bottom drops out entirely.

SPEED RECORD?

well yall gonna be happy I can't make it! I'd dust all your crops!

Just kiddin- it's easy to talk sh*t when you are 4 hours away. Have a great time, and do post some results!

Me?
Dude, I could stay down here where it's "EZ in BZ"-- paddling the Farmlands, Truss, From BZ down to the Lake, and of course I wouldn't leave out The White Salmon's lively sibling, El Dub...
I could paddle here for the rest of my life happily and not get bored.
