Heads up for anyone paddling the Narrows section of the Humptulips!

There's a new log lodged in the gorge about 50 yards downstream of the fish ladder. It''s about 18-24 inches in diameter and spans the channel. The left end of the log is about 6-8 inches above the water and the right side is just at the water level at approximately 2400cfs. There does not appear to be any branches or other debris attached to the log. We were able to climb over the log, balance our boats on top, and seal launch off the right side against the wall. The eddy right before the log is pretty calm and can probably hold 3 boats.

One more thing--Donkey Creek Rd will be closed from now until June 29th due to road construction at  3.5miles from 101.  We were able to pass the construction on the right today (Easter Sunday, no one working), but who knows how long this will last. It looks like there's adding some power lines and building a bridge?  Not really sure what's up but there was a crane and large excavator at the site.
