Here is an update on the race. The permits are pulled for the EFL and Sunset Falls Park for the weekend of April 10&11. The Race will begin above Sunset Falls and the finishline/ takeout is still TBD. The main event site with registration/ vendors/ food is at Sunset Falls Park. The Afterparty is in the park also (Thanks Next Adventure!!). We are discussing camping options and will keep you updated (hoping to have unlimited camping in the park - but that is not yet secured). Below is the link to the site for more info.
As always, the coordinators could use extra help, so shoot an email if you can assist in any way.

Does "the permits are pulled" mean what it sounds like it means? Isn't that a problem?

Oh and this was a ton of fun last year, I'm excited and hope it comes off well this year.

Tony - what is the status? Everything moving forward as planned? What's the camping status? (Are we all crashing at your house? )
Also, who is going? Two people have bailed on me, so I may have room in my truck.

Oh, OK... I'm headed down, but it won't work to carpool as I have to head in to Portland for a concert that night. It would be fun to have some of the PP crew to do a run with though.

For those wondering about Friday night camping at Sunset falls; the park has not been rented, so you will need to pay on your own, but they are being cool about more then 1 tent, etc per site, within reason. Just pay for the site so you don't "F" it up for the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

and volunteer during the event, he can get the camping fee for Friday night waved, just ask him and sign up to volunteer.

I would like to throw a mad shout out to JP here for bringing some heat in the long boat division, 3rd ain't bad at all considering he was right behind Tao and Darren.
Fish Kicked some ORT ass with Hans and also placed 4th in the Mens Expert.
Seattle had a great showing down there!

Nibbler- thanks for posting the results online. I guess they are also on the official site now as a PDF (as opposed to a PFD! )
Yeah, Nick! You didn't do so shabby yourself! Drew Eastman ain't no slouch. Man knows how to drive a boat!
Fish and Hans? Certainly a force to be reconned with - hungover or not

That mammoth sized pic you posted is funny, 'cuz if you look you can see me looking over at you saying: "Let's get 'em, Dan!" or some similar words of comraderie...

of course, that's right before I carefully unhooked my bow from your right stern quarter and got over to your left side where the water was faster-- at least I think that's how it went down-- There's Marco right in front of you, too.

Hey! that's false advertising!!!
That boat is NOTHING like The Reaction, you kiddin?
(It is similar to the Burn, however-- with a slightly lower volume deck making it more of a river running playboat-ish sorta thing.) It was cool to check out . I'm paddling it in the mass start photo above-seemed fairly quick, and it was pretty easy to adapt to.
