If there are not any spots availible on this trip and jmcl is looking for something else, is anyone interested in a bunch of us putting in  for permits and seeing if we can get a PP Grand Canyon trip together?
 
I have thought about joining a commercial trip, but the downside to that is that all the commercial trips want you off the river as quickly as possible (12-16 days), the cost, and I would rather go with people I know.
