Kris from the Chelan PUD has asked for a better assessment of how many people will be attending the Chelan Gorge release this weekend.  Approximately 25 people signed up for the first weekend release and we had 10 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday.  Approximately 35 people have signed up for this weekends release.

Please reply to this post with a list of your groups' names or PM me.  This will greatly help the Chelan PUD prepare for our arrivals.  Thanks.  -Brad

Who is planning on going out that way?  I'd need to carpool for sure if i were to go.

well, I can't believe this, but due to financial constraints and concerns regarding my income, I have to honestly and regrettfully express the possibility that I may not be able to make it now. It's too early to say, so I'm not announcing it officially beyond this community.

I'm mentioning it so that we can figure out what's going on in the event that I can't make it. I know that the presence of some of the crew from the previous release is prefered by the PUD folks. I'd really like to see this become an annual possibility for washington's class V boaters.

The other note is this: If you haven't been getting out on class V waters consistantly and frequently this season, please think twice about going. I don't want to build it up to be some EXTREME GNARLY "overhyped" adventure, but the people who do show up need to be capable of representing us all. That's the last I'll lexture about it here, because I also understand how unpalatable such lextures are.

After a long battle to get out of work I am definitely in for both days. I am not sure if I am going up Friday night or Saturday morning but I am open for either if anyone wants to car pool. I live in Seattle, if anyone wants to car pool hit me up asap.

Hey, I just moved to town and tried to sign up for Sunday's release today which is past the Thursday deadline- would it be kosher for me to join in anyway, or might I get turned away? I did not recieve an e-mail from the PUD either way.

I neither want to spoil a good thing, nor drive 3 hours from Seattle to get skunked.
