Many of you may have read this...
It's about fear on the river and how we relate to it, about our skills, ect.
I just was talking to someone about this subject recently and decided to dig up this article:

Doug made a 3 part series of this subject starting in the last issue of AW's 07 magazine, then on to 08. It is highly valuable reading. He included these 3 articles, in addition to many more in his new book Whitewater Philosphy, which I'm midway into and thoroughly enjoying. You can buy it at http://www.dougammons.com - www.dougammons.com . I've never met the guy but I enjoy his writing.
