Is there a cover?  I'm trying to persuade some non-paddling friends to come.

Yes there's a very modest and affordable cover. I seem to recall it being $6, but someone can school my ass if I'm wrong.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing everyone who'll undoubtedly come out of the woodwork. And Ben's band is playing, too. A band of talented chaps, I must say.

Hey guys!

Sorry for the delayed response.  Thank you for taking the time to comment!  We are very excited to have the Opening Premier out here in Seattle!  To answer a few questions:

Ryan - Yes, the DVD will be on sale at the High Dive.
BDR - There will be a cover charge, that is for the (3) bands + bar + premier hosting, it'll be no more than $8 ( not sure what they are agreeing on).

Raffle:  is in the works.  We are trying to get a video / apparel / 12 count boxes of Clif Bars into the raffle.  It isn't concrete yet, so........

Other than that, there will be some surprise guests, athletes and the entire community there, so we all are really looking forward to a big, fun event!  - See you all there.  Off to the river for the weekend.  --> LDub is reported a "holding steady around 2.7"...so off to get our low water fix.....

Can't wait to see the premier, Cody. In an era when every Joe-Driftwood has a f*cking camera on the river, It's refreshing to see someone seriously wield a camera with VISION.

You put effort and drive into capturing your footage, and it shows when the tape rolls.

A reminder to anyone who's planning on turning out for the premiere:

Let's all do the rain dance ritual on a daily basis between now and Friday. Some members of the extended family will be coming together from various regions to check it out-- It would be great to have some little jets of current to paddle on while they are in town. Cheers.

One more comment and then I'll shut up-

Forecast is actually showing a little dippty-do on the graph for ROBE Canyon! Hey, I'm hopeful! Maybe we'll get enough rain to juice it up a little bit!

Anyone want to do a pre-premiere sky run?  I think I will be leaving Tacoma around 12:30 so at the river around 2:15-2:30.

Gotta love a bunch of kayakers taking over a Seattle area bar for a local movie premiere,  it's probably a mixed blessing for em.  On one hand they'll have record beer sales, on the other hand because of those record beer sales they'll have us to deal with
