Alright, so there I was....it was a beautiful day on the Sky. Recent snow on Index shimmered in the sunlight. I had decided to wear my white pants that morning as I was feeling very, very confident. I rounded the airplane rock, still feeling confident, though noting I wasnt as close to the rock as I would have liked. I made a move for the eddy on the left anyway but missed it. The confidence was lowered slightly but the white pants remained white. Then I caught the right side of the hole there on the left below the eddie and went for a quick ride....plastic side up. I made a roll, got knocked right back over and followed up with I think 3 failed rolls. I pulled somewhere between house rocks.....the white pants fully compromised.

Josh - you weren't the only one having trouble in boulder. While I lost count, I am told I had six rolls...

Actually, I came up on every roll, just to go into a new hole a few seconds after every roll. The last one was really funny. I boofed the last ledge over on the right, but didn't boof good enough, went into the hole, and rolled. Came up, thought I was done, then got sucked back into the hole, stern stalled, so I just held it there for a moment before rolling again. All good fun... ------------- |
