I am planning a low water gear recovery run on the Chehalis River in BC. The plan so far is to put in on Statlu Creek and take out at the fishing access by the highway. Meeting at Lowes Hardware off of Sunset Dr in Bellingham at 9AM.

good luck wig!

I lost some precious gear in an avalanche last year and after one recovery mission I am all tapped for the season. Hope you have better luck than I did!

Kyle,
This is my favorite trip name ever on Professor Paddle.  Unfortunately we can't join you for your recovery efforts - good luck.

Almost 2 years ago, Deborah and I had to return for the recovery of a paddle that I "misplaced" in an unfortunate spot.  We were lucky and found the paddle wedged exactly where we thought (2 weeks later!).  So there is hope!

Thanks!

I give myself even odds my boat is still where I left it. It got stuck in a nasty eddy with a throw rope attached to it, and it looked like the throw rope tethered itself to something. I am just hoping that it has not ripped the grab loop off the boat by now!

Even if I don't get it back I want to at least be able to say I went back and finished the run.

Kyle, if we get more people to join this trip, we should probably leave earlier since it was time that made it a little hairy.

So, what happened?  Did you get your gear back?

Noone wanted to go, so I reposted the trip for Saturday. Hopefully more notice will spawn more interest.
