Hey Long Lost Paddling Partners,

I have a Partner I met in the the Great Lakes area a few years back who is looking to do some paddling in the Washington area this weekend. His name is Tenson and he is a solid class 5 boater. Someone, Dave, John, Rob, James, Lief, Mike, Brett, etc. give him a call. 715-432-2398. Show some love sissies.

Dude - where have you been?  Did you make it out west this year?  I'll let one of the folks on your list who is a "solid class V" boater give your friend a call, though.  Stuff should be coming up, though.

Lief,

I was hanging out in Montana outside of Cook City doing the Rosebud and some other creeks by day and eating steaks and going to cowboy dances at night. It was all quite a scene when you throw in the trustafarians, the Califlakians, the survivalists and the hippies. Well there I was in the most beautiful ranch country in the world with this pretty good paddling chick from Tennessee via Detroit when the Sportsmobile blew up a radiator fan. I was stuck. So... I popped the penthouse "sweet", (if you know what i'm sayin)  somewhere near a little town called Fishtail and hitched back and forth to the rivers. One of the best summers ever.

I forgot to mention that I spent the first two weeks in June doing the First Descents camp in West Glacier. Check it out: firstdescents.org. After you check it out sign up to work, you will never feel sorry for yourself for not hitting the line you want again... least i won't.

i actually don't "hit" my lines at all.
i... sort of fudge them.
in fact, my movements down the river often don't resemble "lines at all" .
i like to keep it all loose and blurry, see? sort of a coriolis effect. that's how I roll. er, uh- flow. works for me.

bubblicious, baby!

Hey funnywater, good to have you in the PNW. I'll be heading out to the Skykomish this weekend and you're welcome to carpool out with me. The Sky is one of the local play runs, my favorite. It's low, but goood. Give me a buzz.

Actually, with the sun, stuff isn't really coming up, unfortunately.  I almost got excited, and thought CC Lewis would come in.  Nonetheless, I am thinking about tumwater on sunday...
