Yes leif, Hugo will be there. The only thing that I could see possibly preventing me from making it there is that it is already 9:30pm, I just have to figure out a way to make it afternoon again. Not really that big of a deal, I should be able to sort that out when I get there. I am heading to the put in right now, anybody want to carpool?
I go, you go, Hugo

If you are not going to boat it, why then would you care if hugo was going to be there? Parsimony would tell us that you were just trying to stir the pot, but I know better, you would never do anything of that sort...right?

Well, I am no english major, but I think you have misused the word parsimony. Beyond that, Hugo, I used to be known for string the pot, that is, until you came along, and I do very much enjoy not being the pot stirrer. Besides, one of these days I might actually run Robe...you never know...

I think that he used the word correctly, I thought that it was the most simple answer to a question.

And I can see how you thought that Brad was talking about tuesday...the topic is only "Robe Mon Afternoon" and he specifically says "this afternoon." face it...
YOU ARE TRYING TO STIR THE POT

Whatever...but I'll make sure and buy both of you dictionaries. But wait, you could be the same person, or me, or no one. What does no one do with a dictionary. If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there to hear it...

Why is it that you refuse to accept the fact that there are multiple people that like to make fun of you?

Parsimony is a 'less is better' concept of frugality, economy, stinginess or caution in arriving at a hypothesis or course of action. The word derives from Middle English parcimony, from Latin parsimonia, from parsus, past participle of parcere: to spare.
From Wikipedia:
I would agree w/ what Hugo was saying...less is better ie, don't post or say anything that is completely a waste of space.
Stop acting like you're smarter than people in my book you're nothing more than a hate filled homophobe that does nothing for the paddling community.
I sincerely hope to never see you on the river.
Paul
(edit: was to change the word in line 4 from the orginal "more" to "better" to fit the definition of the word as given.)

Paul, where does this scerbic rhetoric come from? Where do you get homophobia out of some good-natured banter beteen Hugo and I? People who have boated with you tell me you are a good guy when you are on the river, but something must change when you are on a keyboard. Remember what your mother always said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Right, Hugo?

Sorry about that as well.
Leif, you've struck a cord in me that almost no one else has done by some of the comments you have posted on this forum. I still have not come to terms w/ some of the words and subliminal meanings you have felt the need to write.
I will give you a call so we can hash this out.
As Brad has mentioned this is a post about Robe this afternoon let's keep it to that.
Brad I'm sure if you call Hawthorne you'll be able to rally him, that guy's obsessed w/ the race the sun Robe floats.

What's wrong with you guys? It's "deeeeez nuts"!
Rob, D1 and I bombed down Robe yesterday at 5.0 on the stick. 6pm putin. Ran the race section in 45 mins and the whole run in 1:30. Small change at Off Broadway: small rock slide in the entrance, same line, a little boney and there is a rock you need to be right of to hit the regular line. With a little more water I assume it will clean up a little (ie wash out the little rocks). Small log jam in the paddle out where it canyons up a little and the flow stagnates a bit. We were able to charge over it.
Keep me in mind for afterwork missions. -Brad

I have this theory...
Even though I am slowly morphing into a couch potato, there might be benefits.
A little extra weight might get me through the bigger holes right? My added love handle size offers great holds for a swimmer looking to hitch a ride! And then of course you have to remember that like a seal or walrus I will be much warmer with my blubber allowing me to wear a dry top much earlier than you skinny schmucks
I could take it farther too and claim the supernatural ability to overnight on long runs packing no food and just feeding off my fat reserves but honestly that would force me to miss out on river treats and Leif's Snack Pack so I better not go that far.
So the next time you guys are laughing out on the river about how your all so bad ass, just remember, I am the one at home really becoming the fat ass and in the end, what is really better?
