I don't care how many people dis me: I still want a Diablo. I want a Salto, too, I think. Or a Liquid Logic Remix (would have to paddle one some more) or maybe even a small Burn (never paddle one but many paddlers I respect talk highly of it.

But if anyone, anywhere has any leads on a used Diablo, let me know. I've looked high and low online-- CL (of course no sign of one), Boater talk (really surprised not to find one) and the WKC forum.

Ebay just plain sucks. Ever try to find a kayak on Ebay? how can you type in "Kayak" in the search field and get sunglasses, teddy bears (with no dicernable "kayak" related traits) and real estate, everything under the sun burying about 5 actual posts selling actual kayaks (and those are joke boats-sit on tops or chump sea kayaks)?? talk about  a rant!

Any leads on a Diablo, you know how to reach my boatless ass!

How badly do you want one?

Saw a Diablo on eBay........the catch is that it is in the UK:

On the plus side, the current bid is less than 2 pounds - but you'd have to arrange for pickup on your own.  What is overseas freight these days?  Heck, for 2 pounds, it'd be worth it.

....and Denver (Craigslist):

I bet he'd sell it if you were the one willing to send cash somewhat in good faith.

Although the $300 price tag seems unrealistic - dunno maybe they are collector's items.  A cult kayak as it were.

Yeah - I am a little bored.

Thanks Scott! I'll check it out!

-and yes, SRK has new ones, but I think I also want a Salto or a Burn for really steep tight shit. So if I can find an old Diablo, I'd probably do it.

There is a Euro Kayak "Rapid Fire" in my garage if you need a boat to borrow. It belongs to a friend of mine but I am sure that he would be okay with you using it. It is right about nine feet and looks somewhat similar to the Diablo.   I have been using it for training purposes. If you are in the Wenatchee Valley, and in need of a boat, drop me a line

Thanks, H2Ohta, I'll keep that in mind if when I start heading over to the Eastside, I still need a boat.

Muchas Gracias

So. Here's the latest on my Diablo obsession: I want the one in Denver Colorado, if I can find a practicle way to get it up here. If anyone's going to and/or from Colorado in the next few months, please let me know. I'm willing to throw some cash in for gas, if  someone could pick the boat up and tie it to their racks, and bring it back.
thanks.

So thanks to Tristan, I've been reunited with one of my favorite whitewater boat designs of all time!

just took my maiden voyages with it down at the CC lewis race...
thanks again, man, it'll tide me over till I buy a new creek boat.
