They must use Eskimo plastic, I don't see a bulkhead. For that matter I don't see thigh braces, foot pegs, a drain plug, or a beer coozy. It must be fantastic on the water to make up for all that. Maybe it comes with a blow-up doll for outfitting. Daring.

Wait we're straying from the thread... So one more remark about the "Otter" kayak. As you can guess, since my boat got ripped off,  I've been surfing craigslist to see if some half-way suitable dirt cheap boat was there and I came across the "otter" It was originally advertised as a "whitewater" boat and I think it was when Jimmy posted this thread.

I actually emailed them and informed them that it was in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM (literally) a whitewater boat, that it was only good on a lake or a pond. Not to be mean, just to suggest they change their headline to target their sales better. (I left out the fact that I refer to any and all such boats as "Jokeboats"-boats that are so absolutely compromised that they aren't good for anything)

Anyway, if you click on the hyperlink now,  It says "family" boat. Hey that's fair, afterall, someone may really be looking exactly for such a pond boat.

Someone brought one on a trip when Courtney and I used to lead trips in Georgia for the Atlanta Whitewater Club.  It was a Class II- trip where I grew up paddling a 17 ft aluminum canoe and bass fishing/beer drinking/camping.  It's where I developed my love for rivers so I would lead a club trip or two a year there.  Anyway, we are taking a break and Courtney asks them if she can try to roll it, and sure enough, she rolls it almost all the way up and then her knee pops out and she falls back over.  It can be rolled if you build a sturdy knee brace, and have a huge skirt that will fit that thing.  Courtney almost rolled it without a skirt!.

With Jeff Snyder running class 5 standing up in an inflatable, maybe running class 5 in an otter is the new coming fringe sport?
