Its planning Time for the 2008 Professor Paddle Ball!

If you have never checked out our balls, Don't MISS OUT! Every year we have a nice little party to celebrate our friendships and the return of Spring Flows in WA, and this year will be the best yet. Unlike the smaller balls we have had in the past, this year were planning some real action. Our balls have always been targeted around the river so if you don't like getting wet these balls are not for you! If your interested in our Balls read on for more details.

Events & Competitions

Who's Planning What?
- Freestyle Comp
This years freestyle Comp will be planned by Brett Barton, Ryan Akins and Ashley Dufus. The judges and rules will be announced at a later date by the planners.

- Big Air Ramp
This year we will have a Big Air Ramp built with the design expertise of Brett Barton, Ryan Akins and Dave Evans. To offer design suggestions or examples please PM Water Wacko or Ryan. Dave Evans, Dave Morales and Brett are heading up the quest for materials so if you can contribute to the list please PM or email them.

- Down River Race
The down river race will be planned by the same panel of event planners. The location and exact rules will be announced at a later time.

- Chili & Desert Cook Off
Just like the years before were going to have a chili cook off, followed by the sweetest treats you will find anywhere in the woods of the pacific northwest. Competitor's will be listed below as they PM me to join.

Event Prizes
Unlike in the years before where I bought a few trinkets or lame prizes like dirty booties, this year were getting the goods nailed down. Every person that attends this years ball will be issued a card listing the different options you have elected for. IE: If you compete in the Freestyle Comp your card will have a freestyle comp rating area, If you pay for the Kegs your card will have a keg stamp, If your camping overnight your card will have a tent stamp and so on and so on. Every card will have voting options for the cook off contestants and every participant will be entered into a raffle drawing for swag.

Facilities and Grounds Patrol
As many of you know from last year, we had a big turn out and we want to be sure that we can handle more fun and more folks this year. So in planning we have decided that it will be impossible for the Camping & Party Zone to be located next to the Big Air Ramp. For this reason we will have a set day for the big air ramp and a different location where access to the water is available. The actual Party location is also unknown right now. We are checking with local Land Owners and Group Sites for the best location to hold this years event. If you know of someone with land or water access please offer the suggestion to James or Tobin via PM.

We are planning for up to 200 - 300 people at this years function! So keep that in mind for the Party Locale and Water Access for the Big Air Ramp.

Porta Potties - Arranged by James
Party Locale - Selected by James, Tobin and Tom Bath
Waste Receptacles - Tom Bath
Fire Containment - Tobin
Pyro-Technician - Brad X.

Refreshments & Entertainment
Of course just like last year were planning some party favor's and games.
- Glacier Shots & Keg Stands
- Live Band
- Big Screen Kayak Vid's & Karaoke
- Camp Site Hacky Sack
- Slack Line
Planners: Ambre and JoJo

Sponsor's & Fund Raising
Another first for PP. Were getting some free goods for our members! So far we have racked up a few great items to give away as prizes and swag and the list is continuing to grow! Here's what we have so far:

James, out of curiosity, what is the date for this year's event? I'm hoping to be able to make it this year.
