This is the Thompson + Stein/Clearwater/etc. over Labor Day discussion thread. Please post any questions below.

Remember the actual Trip Details are located on the Thompson + Stein/Clearwater/etc. over Labor Day | Trip Page

I'd like to head up to the Thompson over the long weekend, and possibly do some other things, such as the Stein, Nahatlatch, Clearwater, etc.  I am thinking I will leave on Friday mid-day or afternoon, and return Tuesday or Wednesday.  I'll probably just bring the play boat, so there will be room in king chili for 2-3 additional boaters.

Any thoughts?

Hey Leif,

I just got back from a B.C. trip. The Stein and Thompson wil be fine, but I'd recommend against the Clearwater. It doesn't pass the fun/driving test at late summer levels. If you want to do something different head for the Chilco. It's 3 or 4 hours north of the Thompson and worth every mile.

Frog will be close to perfect by the weekend maybe a scosh low which will mean the right pocket will be more of a hole and the middle will be fine/normal. I usually head up there around 480-490 cms on the thompson guage.

Werid  - I am not getting email notifications on comments to this thread.

I am still planning to go up, and am curious how many other folks are interested.  Since there won't be creek boats coming, I'd like to get 2-3 other boaters in my truck...
