I'll be camping at Grayland Beach with my family and I'd like to try some surfing. High tide is at 2pm. Someone said a good time to surf is when the tide is falling. Bring your roll and expect cold salt water.

Been out surfing 2 times in the last 2 weeks and I think the ocean is warmer than the river.  I may be wrong but I also think that incoming tide, near high tide is best, but it depends on many factors
