Anybody interested in running this section on Sunday.  I am a novice - have a decent roll (most of the times) and have done this run a few times.  Have a Class III boater going but looking for others to join.  Anybody doing the upper section and interested in continuing on to the lower section for a longer run on Sunday?

Patty

Hi Ashley,

This is John, the other paddler on the trip.  Patty and I are fairly flexible on the start time.  If it's possible to do a couple of laps on Big Eddy, then we'd probably go a bit earlier- say around noon.  However, if the plan is to hook up w/ folks at RR Bridge who have run the upper Sky, then we'd be willing to meet later.  What works for you?

As for me, I haven't been in my boat since about Christmas, when I ran the upper Sky w/ Arno, Weide, and a few other PP regulars.  (Cold, dark, 3 inches of snow on the ground at Cable Drop and a few flakes falling...  Brrr!)  A couple laps on Big Eddy in the warm sunshine would do me just fine.

Hey John-

So I've got to work at 4 tomorrow, which means I should be off the water by 2. But I would be able to hit a lap or two, if it was relatively early.  Were you going to skip that first rapid right below Splitrock?

Earlier works fine.  When do we need to start in order to get in two laps?  You make the call.  Patty and I will be there!

Patty has put in at Split Rock before and run the drop under the bridge at around 4K no problem.  However, she's in a new play boat now (Jackson) and the flow will be a bit higher.  I guess it's up to her.  I'm sure she'd be fine if we dropped her off at the bridge and put in a little higher.  Lots of options.

I'll get in on this one as well.  Just post the time and place you want to meet.  I was going to split rock tomorrow anyway.

Tell you what. I'm still not positive that I will make it, so plan the trip as you will, post the final plans here, and I might make it out... We'll see...

Newtobin,
I'd like to run Powerline/Index to RR Bridge around 10 or 11 if that works for you.
