Ryan... I will give you a call in a few minutes to let you know if I can give you a ride. I got ditched and so I might not even go. But well see.

Mike, Beth and Judah should be in the Air right about now flying over Idaho and Montana making their way to the Snowy state of Michigan.

Today we took a raft down the canyon creek of the Stilly. Josh, Beth and I did 2 laps with kayakers Jon, two b-ham pals Tim and Owen, Colorado Dave, and Ryan. The first run was pretty clean for the raft. No swimmers and only a few missed lines that were not consequential. The second lap wasn't as fortunate, although all are well. Ryan was hole baiting the first drop and we came in on top of him. The following sequence of events is a bit fuzzy but we managed dumptrucking the raft and swimming the rest of the rapid. Not very fun. After collecting ourselves, we got back in the raft and ran the rest of the run clean. Thanks to all that helped us down and to our spectators on the bridge for cheering us on. Too bad you guys weren't there for the second run.
-Brad

PS Bootie beers around

Heh, how'd it feel to have a dump truck land on top of you Ryan?        I wish I had some video of that, it would have been a great carnage clip.  Glad to hear everyone was ok after that.

Very scenic gorge, great drops, fun time for sure.

My paddle is toast, don't think I'll be able to fix it with fiberglass.  Anyone have a bent shaft they want to sell?

Jon, can you double check that website... all I'm getting is a pool supply company.  Must not be denied raft carnage...

Try www.plungepool.blogspot.com. No footage of the raft carnage, but some good pictures of the run.

Unfortunately, no raft carnage was caught on film or video.  I can only assure you, our swim was pretty nasty.
