I did this run last october before the road closed,, I loved it,  very continous, I fished this creek for years so it was cool to run it in a kayak!

It's pretty tight and technical for a III.. but a great run.  I am flexible on the day, let me know what works best!!

Ive always wanted to do Skate Creak, but Tues is a bad workday, how about the following weekend? Since I live in Parkland it's close, but those darn King CO. dwellers may have some reservations about driving that far.

Ya, have to work monday through friday, but sometimes can get out close to work in King Co. Skate creek would have to be a day off trip. Is the road open yet?

Saturday or Sunday this week works for me. I have Fri-Sun off for the next month if it is a no go this weekend.

Has anyone been up there since October to check out the wood situation?

I'd like to run it next weekend, this weekend going to run the upper gorge (hopefully) and then go dirt bikeing up at Kanasket. I know, I know, what am I, a sea kaking, white water kayaking, dirt bikeing, gun shooting, photographer? Yes very strange combo.

Got wood? Many of the sweet drops on this run do, so be carefull! The lower section of the run does cleen up a bit. I have detailed pics of the entire run from last weekend when I rode my street bike up and photogrphed the section. 4-23-06

Dave,

Do you think the run is worth the drive from Skagit Co. or does it have too much wood for too little water?

Have you posted the rest of the pics anywhere?

Work has slowed my pic posting, but Skate Creek may not be worth that long a drive unless you like tight creek runs with little play.
