I have not run this one before - but am comfy on Class III and moderately comfy with Boulder Drop/House Rocks but will understand if you bail on this for lack of  another more experienced kayaker to run it with you.  Just debating the playboat v. runner for the first shot through - seems like under 2000 would be a good barometer.

Hi Dan,

I met you on the Sky a few weekends ago, the pumpkin weekend.  I was in the red raft with Gloria (tom bath's better half).  I would like to go on this trip in my IK or raft, either one.  Can you give me a call perhaps at 253-678-7676.

Glenn

I tried to think of a better place to post this, but this seems like the most applicable spot.

I want to run some goodness this weekend but there are not any trips posted for specific runs. I seems like everyone is up in the air still due to the rains, which I of course totally understand.

I figured I would just post my trip plans here because if nothing changes I will probably run the green with you. I would like to hit up Pilchuck Creek if it is running, but we don't know that yet, and will most likely not find out till tomorrow.  I also love the sky drainage but there are no trips planned around that area yet either. I would post my own trip to the NF but the levels are just to low, and I doubt they will rise enought. I would also be down for a Sky and Sultan Combo day. That could be fun considering the sultan is at 1700 which is moderate to high for that run but again no one has mentioned that so I doubt it will happen.

Long Post short.... I will join this trip if nothing else pans out. I don't mean to make this sound like you guys are my side dish, but the green river is around all the time, some of the other runs like the pilchuck are not.

I will call you right now and explain this scott, so you don't leave me behind or cancel the trip due to low involvement.

Yo James,

I switched my trip to try and hit Pilchuck. Of course it's up in the air and the Green is my backup.  We should get a phone and/or email ring going. Feel free to call.

Bryon,

There seems to be enough interest, so I'd love to run the Pilchuck tomorrow and will check out the level early a.m.  If it's OK, I'll call you 8 or 9ish with a flow verdict.  If it's' still too low, I will hit the road and try to horn in on Dan's Green trip.

Ok so heres the plan now.

The pilchuck is running and there is a group meeting at 11:00 to go do it. I am not going to be joining them due to drive time and a possibility that the falls will be too low. Pilchuck is a finicky little creek and Paradise on the Green is a Sure thing at 1600.

So the Green Trip is also on. Meet at either River at 11:00

Ok Glenn Here ya go....

Head into Black Diamond. Turn onto Lawson Street by the mexican food place and the gas station.

Stay on that road until it goes over the green river on a one way / one lane bridge. Just before that bridge and before you cross the river, you will see a parking lot with a gate on it. That is where we meet.

Call if you need more help bud.

And of course a google map to boot

Sorry I missed you guys out there.

I had some serious logistical issues Saturday morning and was 30 minutes late.  I didn't expect ya'll to wait that long and wasn't surprised to have missed you.

Fortunately, I heard you had a great trip.

I hooked-up with a couple of others and managed to get myself down the river too.

Once again, I'm sorry I dropped the ball.  I'll do my best to not let it happen again.

No worries Dan!  I am thankful you got the trip together - it was a lot of fun.  I think we must have just missed you because I was 20 minutes late...got a little lost on the way there.  With all the rain, we bugged out pretty fast after I got there.  See you on the next trip!
