hey all,

this is a river that i have been curious about for a long time, if the water holds, anybody up for a trip out there on saturday?  it is pretty darn close actually.  let me know.  oh yeah, time  is not an issue either, i just don't like those trips that meet at like 9 at the take out.  get some sleep!  you will boat better.

jon

oh yeah, if anybody has any beta for this run, send it my way please!

I have run it a few times my self. I don't really care for it myself. I ran it at like 6.5 feet and thought it was a little boney for my taste. In fact I ran it with Bryon Scruggs the first time.

Wood is here and there on the run, and you should certainly keep an eye out. Watch for eroding canyon walls and thats about it. Lots of braided channels and low gradient boulder gardens. Wiley Creek rapid was the only significant rapid of the run if my memory serves me correctly.

Jon

What I remember about the stilly is that the gauge is in Granite fall and by the time you reach the put in there is a lot less water. I would say 5 feet on the gauge is optimistic for thsi run.

Jon,

I'll do this river with you sometime when the water is there.  It's not far from the house so I can jet over there fairly quickly and get a run in.
