The water will be low, but at least the sun will be out. Let's hit Tumwater before it's all gone.

Bryan,

I might be down for a Tumwater run, I am going to check with my better half and I will get back online today and either join or wish I could.

At this level, how does this run compare in difficulty to Boulder Drop at
low water? I'd consider going, but I'm not sure my skills are up for
anything much harder than BD at 2000.

Jason,

Go for it, you will be fine. Everything is roadside, portages are a snap, and the river is mellow at this level. I gotcha back bro!

So what is the rating at these flows?  Is it solid class IV?

I would say your gonna have the following intersperced through the run:

1 Mile of Class II/Flatwater
2.5 Miles of Class III-III+ / boogiewater
1.5 Miles of Class IV / Playwater
1 Mile of Class IV+ / Ledgywater

Something like that seems about right, now it is not in that order though.

I am trying to figure out if I could manage it at these low levels...

Hmmmm... I'd like to go but I'm the best man in a wedding this weekend.  Do you think he would be mad if I bailed?

Well, I was all set to join this trip until I was reminded by my better half
that I too have a wedding to attend on saturday. Though I'm no best man,
barely even a good guy on some days, I still shouldn't miss it. Nuts.

I'll probably be there, though I may be going with a friend a bit later in the day.  Never done it this low before, but should be fun.  How many do you guys have definately going?  Trying to decide if Bill and I should opt for a separate group if you guys are too big.

I can't tell ya how many are going cuz Bryon Scruffy is the Trip Leader, but I am going for sure, and so is a friend of mine. We will most likely run it twice. I have never been on the river under 1200 so I have no clue what it will be like. I am only bringing my playboat though if that makes a difference.

Oh and by the way, I am the best man in a wedding too, but it is on the weekend of the 19th. That is why I had to make sure that I could still do the skook with Dave.
Which I definitly will if he is still down!

James

P.S.
Tom can I borrow your best man speech... oops I forgot that the groom uses this site... <-- me too
