Working on it. Likely end of April. Waiting for final approval but hope to be able to share next week. Keep an eye on AW website. It will be posted on the calendar page associated with the Upper Sultan as soon as I know.

Hey Tom,
Thanks for your work on this. Is it possible to consider doing a release later in the season? The end of April usually offers no shortage of boating opportunities in the NW, so that right there hampers turn out as people are off chasing runoff everywhere else. I would love to see this go in August. A nice sunny warm day with no shortage of daylight and no other boating options sounds like a perfect time to open the gates....

We will have another in early September. The timing is driven by fish needs and water system management. We did well to get the weekend in early September.

how does the upper gorge compare to the run below the dam?  We ran from below the dam yesterday and it was good fun. Last Nasty is hard to scout and has a log in the final drop

Lots more rapids, Last nasty is the hardest single drop with the most objective hazards, but there is one or two long rapids in the upper that require some good read and run creek boating skills. I describe the whole run as class IV+ but if you needed to scout every class IV rapid you would be in there forever. Willingness to read and run as well as get verbal beta from one person scouting would be a must.
