There is a large tree blocking 1/3 of the channel on river right below the small bridge carrying the water main. The tree is on a left bend of the river at the base of a vertical bank wall. A little hard to see on the approach. Creates a strainer. Hazard especially for rafts.

Pretty sure you're referring to the tree that's in the river at the spot known as hanging gardens. On Saturday at 3000+ there was plenty of water going over the left side of it, so it was easy to go over, but at lower water it looks like it may be river-wide are require a portage.
