For those who were unable to attend Seagnar this year (which was epic, btw) here is a nifty little clip put together by Mike Hagadorn and Freefly Systems. I had forgotten about this awesome day until halfway through (when I was walking in), I looked at the big screen and thought, "man those are some sweet angles and extra spiffy drone footage, I wonder what drone that is." Little did I realize... powerful images from the Freefly Systems crew and sick! drone rig over one of my favorite places on the planet. Not to go unmentioned... awesome paddling by a few of the boys.
And if you haven't heard about the proposed dam on the Skykomish, definitely take a minute and have a look at http://www.savetheskyriver.org - http://www.savetheskyriver.org Happy New Year!!

Where is that little gorge in the intro (Save the Sky segment)?

Looks like Bear Creek gorge, on the NF just a ways upstream of the Drum Beater put in for the normal NF run. But I could be wrong...

Well, that would make more sense considering the segment is about a dam on the SOUTH fork Sky...
Wow, if that's a gorge preceding Canyon Falls, I need to sneak in there and take a look. I've seen photos of Canyon Falls proper (a split falls at lower flows), but never of this crack in the earth. Pretty cool.

The gorge is short and the falls kick things off. Here's a little blip. It is on private property and the locals are kinda nosy about anybody they see out there... just sayin
