What's the name of the first big rapid after railroad bridge on the sky?
Does any one know if there is a trail to the big cobblestone bank on river left. I see hikers there, and was wondering if they bushwack there or off there's a trail, or some access from hwy 2 or even the rail road track.
I was looking at that stretch from below the bridge to taking out at that cobbly bank, a good short run for beginner. That rapid is getting bony and long for a potential swimmer.
Thanks for any beta.

Pretty sure ya get to river R from Reiter road, and river L from the 'boats' stashed on the side of 2 just west of railroad bridge putin.

You can look on Google maps and get a pretty good idea. You can't see the trails but you can see the pull offs. If you're unsure, you can start at the RR Bridge access pull off and drive downstream to the next pull off. You might want to hike it first without boats.
It's going to be a pretty short run. Probably spend 3 times as much hiking as boating.

Yeah, that spot is accessed by fisherman hiking up river along the bank after parking at the pullout that fisherman use near the east end of the Big Bend housing loop. It would be a lot of walking to exit from there. Probably better off doing the stretch from BigEddy to GB.
