A friend of mine is looking into booking a work-related rafting trip on either the Sky or the Wenatchee.

Are either of you guys guiding on either river? If so - would it be possible for them to arrange things so that they are on your boat?

If not - do you guys have any recommendations regarding rafting companies and/or guides for either river?

Many Thanks

Hey JayB, I'm not guiding full time anymore but Alpine Adventures does both the Sky and Wentachee and both JP and I work for those guys so I'm a bit biased.

I'll let JP speak for himself though...

Jay, I would love to take your friends rafting. Just started running trips for the season.

If you still want to go, Hit me up via PM and we can figure out the details. You could kayak along as well, if you want.

Hey JP:

It's a friend of mine who is organizing a trip for his group at work, so I won't be part of the crew - but when he wrote me about where to go and who to go with you were the first guy I thought of.

If you can post up your number here in a form that the spambots can't run off with, or shoot me a PM with your number, I'll pass it along and have him get in touch with you directly.

Hey Jay,

I don't want to take any work from struggling raft guides out there, but I think jP will understand. I saw your post, and it reminded me that I should plug my company more on Professor Paddle so that people are thinking of me when things like this come up.

As some on professor paddle may know, I started a rafting company in Darrington called Adventure Cascades. We are permitted to run all sections of the Sauk from Bedal down as well as the Suiattle. Being a small company we are happy to run custom trips for small groups; including over night trips. All of our trips are run out of our shop (the old liquor store) at the corner of 530 and the Mt Loop Highway, where we have on site parking, changing rooms, and a bathroom.

I know sometimes it is hard for people to think outside the highway 2 corridor for commercial rafting, however, as many of us private boaters know, the Sauk has great whitewater. It  is scenic, and provides a remote experience, not common to other commercially available river trips.

I hope no one is upset with the shameless plug. I represent several struggling raft guides, and  jP can guide a boat for me anytime.

Fell free to pass my number along 360.393.6815 also our website is http://www.adventurecascades.com - http://www.adventurecascades.com

Thanks,

Brian

Yo Jay I'm going to PM you w/ my number. As I said it would be awesome to take your friends rafting. But I gotta say that Brian is also an excellent guide, and your friends couldn't go wrong by going that direction either.

Anyway I will be in touch

Hey Jed - thanks for chiming in!

Brian - thanks also. I had totally forgotten about the rafting options on the Sauk, and it was great to get a reminder that there are commercial trips out there. I will definitely keep you in mind the next time anyone asks about rafting options.
