Hello, I'm a boater from Eugene and I'm looking for other paddlers to run some rivers around Seattle and Northern WA this Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Ideally, I would like to see some new class IV+(V) runs like Tumwater, Icicle, Cispus, or Top Tye; but I'm open to suggestions and willing to drive further away. Some of the other WA rivers that I've paddled previously are: Foss, Miller, Robe (5.2ft), Caynon Creek, and the Green Truss.

Just a heads ups, tumwater at the currently levels is solidsly class V bigwater, upper icicle, and lower icicle will be more up your alley. Also, Top tye will be solid class V at current water levels.

Yo Alex-- if you want to check out Icicle, I should be around Friday and Monday (but I am a "Blue Collar" whitewater professional, so I won't be available sat or sun). I know Icicle very well upstream and down. It is "Biggish" right now, and tends to scare away "hydrophobic" whitewater boaters this time of year, but it is essentially squeaky clean fluffy white fun!

Hit me up before friday or monday if its in the cards to boat it those days. Flows should drop a little, too, which may be more "First time friendly".

Don't worry, Jed- with hwy 2 right along the Tummy Ache, I think its pretty apparent that the line will become a battle to re-right oneself multiple times per rapid.

Jeb - Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like I'll have to come back later in the year for tumwater.

SOPBoater - Cooper looks like fun if it's in. Give me a call if you think you're headed that way this weekend.

JP - I'll send a text about boating Icicle on Friday.

Last minute change of plans. I'm headed out to the Lochsa instead. Thanks for the responses and hopefully I can make it out there in the next couple of weeks.
