Has anyone been down the South Fork of the Tieton this spring? Trying to put together a crew to run it tomorrow (Friday) around noon. Let me know if you want to check it out!

Not yet, this year. Usually get on it every year, since it's close to the family's cabin. If you haven't been on it ever/lately, there's a couple trees running parallel to the current in the first big drop (Gauntlet), that make the preferred line pretty tight, with the current pushing under the trees. Remember another logjam at the top of a drop after Butcher Block (the bigger one you can see from the road), which you could wiggle by far right, if you can get over there. Inflow to Rimrock is 1,200, which will put the SF Tieton at a lower level.

Not sure the snow situation on FR1000. If you strike out there, then the American is running at a low flow. As comparison, and for the sake of most bang for the gas dollar, I'd say that Ingalls/Peshastin is a better run than the SF Tieton. So is the Cle Elum. Understand if you just want to check it out. Let us know how it is.
