Couple of us In Washington for a week or so from bc finding the sky/Wenatchee/Yakima drainage stuff a bit high, and Lewis looks a bit low..can anyone suggest an area with some good class IV running at the moment?

Sauk is mostly III but it's at a pretty big flow so might feel more like IV, also with the newly opened road some more river up there is accessible but looked wood choked last fall.

Just ran the Wenatchee yesterday at 13,000 and it was awesome. Drunakard's was especially fun. Water is a lot lower now, but it should be back up by next weekend.

Ingalls/Peshastin is good truckin whitewater. Clean as a whistle, too, although I guess there may be up to three little woody spots to see in advance and scurry to the opposite channel. sh*t can come up on you fast if you are dozing off. Very clean though, and flowing at a nice medium or medium high depending on who you ask. Just ran it today. The next two days may still be good on Ingalls/Peshastin. Then it looks like the graph is taking a plunge.
Gotta echo Wacko's sentiments: seems like when you posted was about the ball park range you want for those staple Sky tribs he mentioned. I ran the Rapid last week when the Sky was around 9k and found it a bit low for my liking. Still, while I'd never seen it so low, I was surprised at how well it channelized. But it loses its "Rapid" feel. Too much greenwater and too many rocks interupting the lines. I usually like it more between 11-14K. Tons of whitecaps all smashed together in a freight train of frothy goodness! Lots of little holes that the shear velocity of the river just carries you through. Sure, you gotta stay sharp and react fast, but the river's namesake deserves that much of you if you are going to drive all the way up there on dinosaur blood for such a short chunk of creek. At 8k those tribs are too dry. You definitely want over 10k as a general rule, sometimes more. But you know, 8k on the Sky is good boatin. Boulder drop is fat for sure, but there are lots of route finding options, and like Sam said, you can always sneak it. The rest of the run is good clean fun.
