Yeah, might be calling in tomorrow......
SOPBOATER, you been in there before? I got it twice at levels higher than it is now, but that one play spot doesn't like a lot of water. I just don't know the few spots in the gorge that you have to zig or zag in the rapids, but I've run it just fine before (BIGWATER was there for beta).
Who else!?!?

yup looks like the Tilton is getting one more bump up for the season ..... over and inch of rain in the last 2 days .... all the snow must be about gone up there so get it while ya can .... unless we have a rain soaked summer this is probably the last we will see the Tilton for a while.... im leaveing for Idaho on Weds or i would go hit the Tilton for sure... if any of you missed the last 5 or 6 months of the Tilton flowing every day i would make an effort to go run it, since it wont last much longer and many other runs (green, middle middle, ext ext) will have snow melt long after the Tilton is done for the season
I hope its still in when i get back from Idaho in june but i doubt it will be ....thx again all for a great Tilton season ..... Tilt -- ON!!

Good choice by me. Just looked at the levels, not what I was looking for.
Anybody else going to be around this weekend and want to get their last season Tilt-on?

You know what, I think that I may be in for Saturday. I was going to go to the White Salmon, but I still have plenty of time to hit that up whereas the Tilton could end... like, tomorrow. I'll PM you a definite answer by tomorrow evening.

Oscar and SOPBOATER, I'm in for Saturday. That said, it spiked hard, let's hope it tapers down less rapidly.
Crap, looking at the graph now, 2k+ woulda been fine by me today. Oh well, obligations......

I just mean the season for the Tilton could end (again) very soon. I'm still trying to get used to the whitewater seasons in this state. The green happens to have a bipolar disorder that's got me all screwed up. I'm having a hard time believing that the season for the green is going to end and I'm going to have to use a pry bar to shift my attention elsewhere.
But, speaking of the Tilton, are these good flows that we are seeing now? I've heard VERY good things about this river.

Thursday thunderstorms. Friday Sunshine. Saturday Tilton. It didn't take me long to make up my mind. If the Tilton is in, I'm in.

Looks like something is being stirred up for a Saturday run on the Tilton. Meet at the takeout? Any ideas for a time? I can help with shuttle to the put in. I'll be coming from Seattle which is a little over a two hour drive from what I have been told. I haven't done the drive yet.

sounds awesome, but I don't think I could overnight on this round. maybe I need some more info. like, is this spot accessible by road. set up then stop at the beach where we camp. or do we pack what we need for overnight in boats, rafts, etc...
how does this work, I guess is what I am asking.

Yeah, I had about five seconds today at work to check here, and I posted too hastily. I, like Paddlegirl, have a dog and that wouldn't work, not to mention I only have little boats, and that the graph isn't inspiring for Sunday.
I'm still planning on Saturday. Oscar is right, we need to start talking time to meet and where? Carpooling from various points?

Well, being Mayfield lake, on Memorial Day weekend, it'll be a zoo no matter what. That said, it will be Saturday, it is about two hours away, and whatever else I'm forgetting. I'd rather show up noonish, though I know that'll make coordination in the park harder. How about we all meet at a spot before entering the park so we know what other cars and such to look for, and can see where people go before we enter? Maybe I'm making it too complicated.
Oscar, wanna carpool? Gotta bring my dog, and I'm willing to drive, so let me know.

Mr. Grinch. Yeah, let's car pool. I can probably take one more boater from Seattle if someone is interested. We would probably be leaving early, around 7 and meeting some other boaters like in Centralia. Talked with Soapboater and plans are starting to develop.

I haven't heard from anyone yet today. I'll phone some of you and see what the plan is. I noticed that water levels have dropped quite a bit. I don't know if this is much to worry about but if those who know the Tilton say it's good then I'm still all in.

Huh. Looking at the graphs, well, I'm not sure I want to drive for the flow we'll see there. Just 200 more cfs, I'd be in, but we'll be below 1100 cfs. Especially with the Green locked at 1900 and less than an hour away.
Sorry, but I'm out.

definitely dropped well below what was expected. Plans to run it are in place, but I'll be checking with the guys that I'm running with - who know the run better then I do - to see if they still think it's a good idea. If they feel it's good then I'll go with it. If not, we may join you on the green.
