Couple of us on this side of the mountains are going to head up and run the NF Teanaway tomorrow. Meeting at the 970/97 interchange (just east of Teanaway rd) at 1:30pm. Levels look good, seeing if anyone else wants in on the fun. Also if anyone has ran it more recently than the description some wood beta would be appreciated. We will keep on our toes either way. Thanks!

-Andy

Had a great run today. Flows seemed pretty good with the Teanaway gauge at 1100cfs.
Lots of wood in the first half, so much that we decided to just do laps on the lower half and run the goods. We put in at a pull out a couple hundred feet past a bridge you can drive over (just upstream of the culvert mentioned in the description). From there almost no wood was in play for the rest of the run, just awesome ledge drop after ledge drop after ledge drop.
Fun run, might go again tomorrow with it being so close to eburg.

Sweet - glad to hear about more folks getting on this run. Thanks for posting the updated beta on the wood situation and the flows! Sounds quite a bit like what we experienced in '10 on both counts.

Mini ledge-drop heaven for sure. This is a tough one to catch, but hopefully it'll start working it's way into more people's regular east-side melt-off roster. It's a gem (particularly the bit from the culvert on down).

Anyone run this recently?  Was considering getting on it tomorrow - the gauge, while not perfect - seems to indicate a decent flow.

Great level today. And sunny. Got 4 laps in on the section below culvert. Imagine it would be good to go tomorrow.

Word - the NFT came through for us when everything else was blasting. Took lots of photos - already uploaded a few and added them to the river page. Will add a few more soon.

The run is probably done for the year unless the drainage gets hit by big rain while the ground is still fairly saturated from the snowmelt, or we get a massive heat spike in the next week or so.

Also - we took a look above the Beverly campground and spotted a nice IV+ ish looking section of constricted ledge-drops about 1/4-1/2 mile above the put-in noted in the write-up. Not sure it's ever been run, and looks good to go (with the usual caveats about scouting and wood).

Nice pics Jay! That was fun. My memory was that it was a lot more sunny than in those pics though!

I would love to paddle the NF Teanaway. It's been on my list all spring. Trouble is, I've no ride from Seattle. Anyway you'd like to carpool?
