| Just a heads up for ya'll... its 'in' (richochet stretch) and has been seeing the local love recently. No bad wood anywhere cept a piece at House Rapid in the right channel (sneak). I'm hoping to get over there Friday and maybe Sunday, so shoot me a shout out if you are interested in gettin on it before it pops off. Word is snow blocks road just after Limbo... but I'm sure that will change soon. |

Not only that but the weather will be in the 70's...... I'm gonna head over friday night pick up a new boat and be on the water all weekend. Icicle, Tummy, top tye on my way home. prediction says it's spiking this weekend........
Also Jean luke will be holding a WK race on the wenatchee !!!

Paddled icicle with jon and mechelle today. Its on the good side of low with horseshoe and a doable level. Fun times for sure and hopefully a little more flow this weekend will bring the icicle gnomes out.....oh wait wrong run. Har har. Ill be here through the weekend if ya wanna boat the cicle or tum. Even the play run has some fun throwdown holes. Plus in the sky there is this thing that when you look at it, it makes your face all kinda burnny feeling. Some people were calling it the sun but I was like yeah sure what eves

Dude I be jonesing HARD for some Ici.
Prior comittments are gonna keep me from it at least another week or two. That's ok. I like gettin Ricketty, an all, but I also like the higher flows to link the Upper and Middle together for a big(ger) water blur. I can portage Ricochette for all the other action when those boulders be pourovers instead of dry rocks. Horse Shoe is just silly, IMO. No taste for it. Its like that pan at the buffet thats been sittin too long cuz almost no one wants to touch it (except those with iron stomaches like Rob and Dr. Pat n whoever). And you think its gonna taste good but it'll probably make you puke. After, that is, it chews ya up and spits ya out. All this after having such a tastey "All You Can Eat" whitewater meal and I'm trying save room for desert (bonus rounds). Nope. Ran everything else on Ici at a variety of flows but don't need that one at any flow. The portage is simply too easy. DAMN IT, JIM! I'm a kayaker, not a gluton for punishment! And it ain't no hotdog eating contest. But, if you think you be a hot dog (thought I'd drop that Old School boater term on yall) you go ahead and get yourself on something else's menu...
