I just noticed the inflow to Howard Hanson is almost 20k! The res level is going up up up, and the Upper Green is at over 7,000 and climbing! I wonder how high it will go and if the dam guys are sweating bullets right now?

Just went from over 8k back down into the 7's. I think it is over... Still maybe that log flushed out of the nozzle.

Paddled the Green River Gorge today with Darren Albright.   We hit the peak flow of 8,040 cfs at 1pm.   It was the highest either one of us had run it, and it had me smiling the whole time...  just so good!
The wood situation is much better,  only a few trees hanging on the sides of the river.  The Nozzle and all the other normal routes were underwater and no trees could be seen.

The Green in back!

The Green was still lookin pretty brown today. The Nozzle looked very different. Water does neat stuff.

Big Water does really neat stuff, huh?
I really dig the way it surges, pulses, and boils on the Flatriver runs.

Hoping the wood is clear from the Nozzle, and not just buried deep. I think we'd have seen some tell tale signs if it was still there. Didn't see the R. Right end of the tree that was there. It had been propped up pretty high on the right hand bank. I suppose it could've been underwater: there was a piled up pool that was topographicly raised higher than the rest of the riverscape tucked into that R. Right corner. But I bet its gone. The rest of the run should be cleansed too. There were at least three or four big trees I expected to see that were gone.

I'm goin back out tomorrow and can not wait!

So sweet you guys got to hit it at 8k !!   a rare day indeed !!  most i ever got was around 7200

i did have Wed. off but we ended up going to the Moshpit ... it was sweet we had a unreal 4 hour  surf / hole rideing session ... just 2 of us there all day exsept for some fishermen (they kept looken at us like we were crazy, but i was not the one standing in the rain all day with a stick in my hand not catching anything)  .... im still so sore, they dont call it the Moshpit for nothing , i feel like i got run over by a train... i guess its a good thing i have to work thur and fri  so i can rest up for the weekend

i will most likely run the Tilton on Sat ... but if the green is still pumping i may rally north

oh and jP,   Big Water does really neat stuff, huh?    haha some would say  that , but most people just  think im a crazy river bum

Another great lap was had yesterday on the Green with JP, Brett, Darren and Jeremy.  This is such an amazing resource at these high water levels.
I think i'm going back for thirds this afternoon :)  Darren and I shared a huge surf wave yesterday that was glassed out,  and was at least 12 feet tall... Epic!    Just so good!

Dude, if you wanna come up, I'll commit to a green run! Went out again today w/ Fish and Jon Shelby. It was 6,500cfs, and in my opinion, a bit more rowdy than 7,500.

It should be good all weekend as it drops, but sat I bet it'll be over 4,000. Certainly above 3,000. As long as its above 2,500 I consider it to be as fine as any river in Wa has to offer. Sure it gets easier the lower it gets but its classic when all that junky rock is covered with water.

Yesterday and today's flows make the run everything I wish the Wenatchee could be. If I knew it better at these higher flows I's surf it up much more.

Anyway I could totally go back tomorrow Chris, if you want to head up here.
