Predictions show Jefferson coming into a prime level on Thursday. If so, I'd like to get out there. I'll probably be catching an early (8am-ish) ferry from Edmonds and getting to Jefferson around 10am. Anyone else interested in getting on it?

NF Skokomish forecast:
http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/river/station/flowplot/flowplot.cgi?id=SKOW1 - http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/river/station/flowplot/flowplot.cgi?id=SKOW1
900-1000 very low - not worth it
1000-1200 low - bony but fun
1200-1600 medium - perfect
1600-1800 med-high/high - perfect with some push
1800-2200 high - still good but pushy with few eddies
2200-2600 still runnable but very pushy

I also check the Dosewallips and look for 700 minimum and 2000 max.

I still would like to get out there tomorrow. Hoping flows drop tonight. Keeping my eye on the precip gauge here (scroll down to bottom graph): http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/uv?cb_00060=on&cb_00065=on&cb_00045=on&format=gif_default&period=7&site_no=12056500 - http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/uv?cb_00060=on&cb_00065=on&cb_00045=on&format=gif_default&period=7&site_no=12056500
Jefferson tends to drop out very fast after the precip stops. Especially when followed by cold. Which is what is forecasted for late tonight/early morning Thursday.
If it's too high, my back-up plan is the Green. Looks like Robe will be a new river again come 2012. I wonder if Off Broadway will be even worse? Who knows, it might get better.

Well, speculating on Robe's new... wardrobe is an entirely different thread alltogether, now isn't it?

Jeffrey: I'd like to get on it tomorrow or friday if it looks viable.

Sounds like there is a decent size group forming. If flows continue to drop as predicted, it looks like we will have medium-high dropping to a medium flow as the day goes on. It will be more clear in the morning.
If you want to join, shoot for 11am at the take-out. Approx. drive time from Seattle is 2.5 hours. I plan to do a couple laps, so if you can't make it at 11, still come out and I'll go for another.

Yup- note about that Bridge: basicly any baracades you encounter should be respectfully "acknowledged" and most importantly left the way you found them. And, as always, remember our "leave no trace" ethos anytime we are in the wilderness.

Glad you joined us, Chris!!

Second lap went well, albiet with a little casual class V carnage. I had two brief hole rides and a disconcerting pin. Brad had a few "stumbling blocks" as well.

On the third lap the carnage was slightly racheted up. I wasn't there for that, but suffice to say there is some scary pin potential, some places have some bad spots- always be careful in there.
