To anyone that owns them, do they run pretty true to size?
I am usually a 9 but wondering about stuffing socks, drysuit booties and thin neo socks into them during the winter.
Thanks,
Chris

Just FYI - 5.10 was just bought be Adidas and although no changes have been announced yet you might want to get your shoes quick because you know how this merger can change things.

I wear a 10.5 in most shoes and an 11 works great for me. Love mine, but after a couple of years of use the sole is separating from the last. Hoping shoe goo works. Also, depending on the boat you may have fit issues. I paddle a Nomad 8.5 and they fit fine once in but getting them in is a bit snug. On the bright side they are ridiculously sticky on wet rocks, and great for hiking in/out/portaging. Might also look at the Savants, a little lower profile and less beefy.

Thumbs up for the savants. More like a running shoe, but still the same sticky sole. Definitely less bomber than the Canyoneer, but I didn't care for how bulky the canyoneers were at my heels, which is probably just reflects the way I set my feet in my feet.

The savants drain super well. Also quite comfortable for hike-ins, etc. I've jogged shuttles in mine and had no problems with my feet (usually have some plantar fascia problems).

Mine are a half size bigger than what my street shoes are and seem to be perfect with drysuit booties and socks on. I also have the superfeet inserts in.

i have a pair of canyoneers. i wear my shoe size, and they fit comfortably. I only wear them in my creekboat. I think they are both comfortable and durable. Any shoe you wear in the water a lot, you can expect to come apart pretty quickly with heavy use. 5.10 makes a range of water shoes of different weights. You can not surpass the friction of these shoes. The footing is bomber.

yeah I got a pair that I really like.  They aren't low profile at all though and they do break down after just a couple years...,  They are good for hikes, offering support and cushion.  Just make sure they fit into the boat.  Fit true to size.  I definitely consider getting a replacement pair.

I will say I have been using the same pair of Scarpa Approach shoes for the last two years, very intensely. Not coming apart in any way, shape or form. And cheaper.

I use the five 10 Canyoneer 2, and went a half size larger than normal, fits well with my drysuit booties and socks.   Best creeking footwear ive ever owned, as Chip said, the friction on these shoes is bomber.

seattle bouldering project stocks pretty much the full line of 510 shoes, including the canyoneer and 2-3 lighter weight models.

scarpa approach shoes i would think would work well, but european shoes are way too narrow for my feet....
