Hi.

I am a paddler from Scotland who is making the trip over in mid July to see what some of the runs around Leavenworth and BC have to offer. To save me paying to fly a boat and paddle both ways I was hoping to buy a second hand creeker in Seattle or Leavenworth.

I am 6 foot and weigh 155 pounds (without kit). I'll be using the boat to do some of the classic grade 4 runs and a multiday so needs to be reasonably big to fit lots of kit in. If anyone has a boat  that will be up for grabs in July please let me know.

Craig.

The For Sale By Owner tab (FSBO) has lots of boats and other gear for sale.  If you can't find one there (which is unlikely) try Craigslist.com and search the Seattle area.  But your most likely place is to look in the FSBO.

You might try to PM Blair here on Professor Paddle, I think he has a cracked Jackson Creek boat he may sell cheap that will work for a few trips.

You could rent a boat.  Aquasports (Redmond, WA), Leavenworth (WA) Mountain Sports, and Alder Creek among others in Portland all rent boats.

Alternatively, I would be surprised if somebody around here didn't just lend you an old boat.  I know of one friend who has an old Gus sitting in his garage gathering dust.....< ="Content-" content="text/; charset=iso-8859-1"> <> html,body{border:0px;} td {border:1px dotted #CCCCCC;}

I have a Big Dog Force you are welcome to use while you are here. It is in good condition.
It is something of a tradition that when boater come in from other areas we as a community welcome them with open arms.
I also have a Habitat 72 & 80 you are welcome to if it is more to your liking.
Let me know when your coming in and where you'll be and I'll get the boat in your way.
Cheers

Tobin, Are you going to check to make sure this guy is not from Ohio? I know those OH boys don't use the word "Kit" but you can never be too sure!

Just a joke... or is it.

Seems like a good place to re-count a story hahaha!!!
