This weekend might offer you one of your best chances to get the Crooked at a great flow. There are a ton of boaters going down there this weekend. My ride is full but I would hope others are planning to go. Anyone out there hitting up the Crooked this coming weekend??!!!

I don't think I'll make it down to the Crooked, but I'm betting Camas Creek (a NF John Day trib) will be at a good level, so I'm going to try to get there on Sunday. Mostly fun class 3 boulder gardens with three or four that push class 4. It was a technical boulder dodging day when I ran it at low water, a non-stop freight train when some of my friends ran it at high water. We all agreed somewhere in between was probably the best flow for it.
