We were confronted by a Fish and Game Officer when attempting to hike into the North Fork Snoqualmie at the normal hiki-in spot, which is a gate a few miles up from Ernie's Grove (SE 88th St, according to Gmaps). This putin/takeout is described in the Bennet book. Apparently the entire tract of land has been purchased by a Seattle developer. We were told that NOONE is allowed here, and trespassers will be cited.
Now the only legal access is at the Spur 10 road which is a few miles further up the road. You cannot legally drive past the gate unless you register your vehicle for $260/year. However, you are allowed to hike (or bike) this road. It is ~1 mile to the river from the gate.

Bummer. Perhaps we need to contact the developer and see if we can work something out.
