What is your favorite whitwater video segment?
One that keeps you interested and at the end makes you go grab your gear to go paddling.
This could be from anywhere. Major dvd videos such as the Twitch series, Liquid Lifestlyes/Burning Time, Fallingdown Productions, LVM videos, 7-River Exp., ect..
to the classics on Utube, google video, ect...

I'll start it off with the 'Stikine River Segment' in John Grace's film 921 B.C.
Pretty inspiring expedition!

I remember watching the beginning of Spawning Grounds, I think it was in Norway, and being amazed at what was on the screen.  Big rapids leading into a big waterfall.  It's been awhile since I have seen it but I remember being blown away by it.  I was watching it in the NARR guide lounge with a big group and everyone was quiet.  A rare moment.

The "Curiously Stong Fowler Creek" segment on LVM 7.  I think it was 7.  Awesome soundtrack and amazing footage of Toxaway. Actually it is 8.  Had to watch it since we are talking about it.

single favorite video of mine has to be 7 rivers.  The combo of hike in, multiday, V+, technical portages, self-support with HD cameras -- it's the total package.  The footy os gorgeous with that granite and cali sun, and it's the rare video where I don't mind the hip hop.

Favorite segments from vids:

Gragtman's helmet cam on Toxaway
Carnage reel from the White Album -- horrific carnage
Grace's intro to the spread the ashes run the %*@! tour, LVM 18?
tRL's Ashlu zip line footy
Dingford Creek, Twitch
Rafts on the South Silver, cali.  LVM 11?
Mark Cramer's Stikine scouting footy

Green Race footy is among my least favorite segments, but I understand it's obligitory for LVM productions.

Is this the clip with Matt Sheridan dropping the put in slide/seal launch in his trademark wireframe glassses?  GREAT clip!

twitchV when they are talking about the reasons that they are a kayaker, why it is all consuming, and how you can paddle with someone for a day and be friends for life.

Slickhorn,

That's totally the clip I am talking about.  Watching in retrospect, with Matt Sheridan and Daniel in one clip, makes it even more special.  I bought the Denali album based soley on that video.

I like the Arkayakansas DVD - not as hardcore as the Twitch videos or anything like that but it was done to promote Arkansas boating with all AR creeks, AR paddlers, AR music, and all profits went to building a whitewater play park on I-30.  So if you are ever near Little Rock, be sure to check out the park - it's under construction now.  And it's fun to see rivers on a video that I've actually paddled.

A portion of it was in LVM #13 I think.  You can view previews of it here:

Dave- After watching some of the video's on that site I've decided that Arkansas is an awesome place. I especially liked the video about the "Arkansas Stupid" =). No joke though, that was very funny.

Ditto. Completely. And the LVM clip of the random mom talking about how much she loves Tommy Hilleke. I do too. =)
