Another possible trip, Not familier with the area. Never been there, don't know how to get there, but will research, and will have to study tides info so we don't die. But otherwise it should be fun.

http://www.paddleguides.com/rivers/bc/skook/skook.html. Here's a link to some education on the Skook. I was bored sitting here at split rock waiting and decided to do some surfing on the ppc.

Ok, so I'm post crazy, my date(the 16th) for the Skook, after looking at the website is no good. Too low a flow, the 9,10th or the 23,24th would be much better. James please help! I'm planning on tumwater on the 9th, but can change if needed.

I'll be out here paddling again for the weekend of the July 22 - 24. I know next to nothing though about reading tide charts, but I was actually just told about this place yesterday and that the best time to go is tide levels 10 - 14 (I might be off by 1 or 2 though). If the tide levels look good for that weekend and correspond to daylight, then I'd be interested in joining you guys.

Hey guys,
So the weekend is going to be the 22-24, and that sounds good. Below is
the tide tables for that weekend. I will modify it a bit to make it
understandable.

My son and I are about camped out, so were staying at the Egmont Marina in a cabin. It's a 4 day weekend for me, so were leaving at 04:30 friday morning the 22nd and get checked in hopfully around 12:00 noon or so. I guess there is supposed to be a trail from the egmont to the wave about 1.5- 2 miles long. I'm not sure about communication up there so maybe we can meet up there somewhere around the resort. I'm bringing photographic equipment so hopefully get some good shots. Is max flood at 7:44pm or is that when flood begins? If thats max then surfing can begin around 5:00pm? Should be fun!

Hey dave what are the rates at that place. I might want to get a place to unless the camping is good.

I was told (again, all second hand with a fuzzy memory) that the wave is surfable 2 hours before/after the time on the tide charts at the ideal levels.
This is only a 3-day weekend for me, so if I make it (can't commit until early next week), then I would be in just for friday and saturday nights. This is going to be exciting though!

I actually leave work by 7 so I can't join the online chat, but that doesn't really matter much anyways cause I'm still not sure if I'm going. If I do go, I'll call one of you guys thursday to see if you where you guys are meeting.
