I was honestly planning on sending out some sort of april fools joke about this, but the pool is legitimately closed...

I received this e-mail from the guy who manages the pool earlier today...

"Hello--I have a little bad news.....We are closing today thru Friday due to our filter/circulation motor going out. The repairs were supposed to be done by Thursday afternoon but as you can see below, that isn't happening. If you could share my apologies to all those impacted by this.

I just found out the new impellor has to come from Texas it will not be here until Friday morning, I am very sorry but we need to close the pool beginning this evening through Friday ,April 02, 2010, please notify the appropriate people. Hopefully you can open it on Saturday , April 03, 2010

Once the repairs have been completed I will contact you immediately

Good work Gordon, I don't believe anyone really thinks April Fools jokes are funny anyway.

The joke would be if i said the pool was open :) Then everyone would just have to drink a bunch instead of kayak!

I should have checked the forum first. Made it to the pool, and it was ....closed. Well, at leat now I know where it is. Hopefully next week !

I'm sorry! This was a very last minute notification, there was unfortunately no way around it. Next time! I you drove from far away we can comp the pool fee....
