I found a LL scooter for a good price but i have absolutely no experience paddling that generation of liquid logic boat. How would this do for a beginner with a good roll? I'm only worried about it being short in the stern.
it's for monica whom some of you've met at the pool. she's about 5'3" 120lbs so should be fine, just dont want something too aggressive and have her turned off to the sport.

LL Scooter and Big Wheel series were pretty much a flop. It was a hurried into production model that didnt improve any on the space cadet/pocket rocket designs, it doesnt really spin well, blunt well, loop well and doesnt offer decent downriver performance to offset the lack of play performance. just my 2 cents worth.

Definitely not a good beginner boat, it's a wave specific type boat that is not good for river running.

I have a friend who's wife loved her scooter. BC Emily threw the biggest blunts around at skook in a scooter and she ran the upper cheakamus in one too. That being said emily is a ripper, so I would agree with Jed that it is not a great beginner river running boat and is certainly going to be on the aggressive side of the spectrum. For beginners your not looking for looping, blunting and wheeling but more stability and price. Different strokes for different folks...

In general, Liquid Logic playboats are not meant for beginners. Due to their boxie (like a box) nature, they are hard to roll. Even though I really like the LL Biscuit, I would not recommend any LL playboat to anybody that doesn't have a really solid roll.
