My four-year old son asked-- unprompted!-- to be a kayaker for Halloween this year.   Of course, wanting to encourage his interest as much as possible, I ended up spending way to much time making as realistic a costume as possible, notwithstanding river funk and stale beer smell.

I went with a playboat design, which in his words, "is the best because of the cool flips you do and get all wet".    I should have a bit more bow rocker and volume in the center to help him him get vertical, but only so much I could do with costco diaper box.   Note the pyranha paint scheme and werner double-diamond style paddle.

Anyway, what costume would be complete without a little PP nod?

Cool costume!

That would be appropriate for Harms' kid as well.

You could join up with Harms and make a cardboard Topo Duo!!!

Of course when the kids started fighting over candy they would probably tear it in half !!!!
